She said that she did know, and a new flag was on the way. She did admit not knowing exactly what to do with the old flag till the new one came in, so I respectfully told her that it was best to take it down till the new one arrived. I asked if she knew how to properly retire the flag and she told me that the bank was giving it to a local Cub Scout group so that they could learn the proper method.
I was deeply impressed with the clear-cut handling of this incident. I would like to thank the Bank of Granite for it's patriotism and commend Ms. Kelly Melton. Keep up the good work!
